Water Softener Installation

Water Softener Installation in Centennial

Ion-exchange softeners for south metro homes, from the older streets near Arapahoe Road to new builds by E-470.

When a softener makes sense in Centennial

Water softener installation in Centennial is worth it when hardness is high enough to leave scale on fixtures, film on glass shower doors and crust inside the water heater. That is not every house. Neighborhoods that receive mostly treated mountain snowmelt can run moderately hard; areas that receive a blend with deep groundwater can run noticeably harder.

We measure hardness in grains per gallon at your tap before recommending anything. If the number is modest, we will say a softener is optional and talk about alternatives. If it is high, we size the resin tank from your hardness and daily use, set a demand-based regeneration, and install it with a bypass so service never means a dry house.

We also look at what a softener will cost to run. Salt use, regeneration water and the occasional resin cleaning all add up, and a correctly sized unit with demand regeneration keeps those costs low. You get a realistic estimate of yearly salt and water use with the quote, so the running cost is never a surprise.

What comes with a softener install

These are the pieces that make a softener last. All of them are in the quoted price.

  • Hardness and iron test

Iron fouls softener resin, so we test for both before choosing the resin and the valve settings.

  • Resin tank sizing

Capacity matched to your hardness and people count, so regeneration runs every week or so instead of every night.

  • Metered control valve

The valve tracks actual water use and regenerates on demand, which cuts salt and water waste.

  • Brine tank placement

Set where you can reach it to add salt without moving storage boxes or squeezing past the furnace.

  • Bypass and isolation valves

So the softener can be serviced, or bypassed for outdoor watering, without cutting water to the house.

  • Drain line and air gap

Run to code into a proper drain with an air gap, so backflow cannot reach the softener.

  • Hardness setting and first regen

We program the valve, run a regeneration and confirm soft water at the kitchen tap before leaving.

  • Salt guidance

Which salt to buy, how full to keep the tank and what to watch for if it bridges or mushes.

From reading to soft water

  1. Measure

We read hardness, iron, pH and TDS at your tap and look at the plumbing near the main. You get a written price for the right-sized unit, usually on the same visit.

  2. Install

We cut in the bypass, set the tanks, run the drain and brine lines and pressure-test every joint. Most softener installs take two to three hours.

  3. Program and prove it

We set the hardness, run the first regeneration and test the water again. You see soft water on the test strip before we pack up.

Why us for softeners

  • Honest sizing

If your hardness is modest, you will hear that first. If a smaller tank works, it is the one we quote.

  • Demand regeneration only

Timer-only valves waste salt in a quiet week. Every softener we install meters actual use.

  • Service for the long haul

Resin cleaning, valve rebuilds and salt bridging fixes, from the same local crew.

  • Written flat price
  • Two-hour arrival windows
  • NSF/ANSI-certified parts
  • Brand-neutral service
